Mid-week crowds have gotten visibly stronger in the past two or three weeks. From a purely subjective standpoint, it appears that things are picking up ever so slightly. LVB/Flamingo area gaming tables have been very strong the past two days, even in the afternoon.
A temporary spike does not indicate a trend, and any revenue increases will probably be sucked out of Vegas and passed to officers and shareholders ... so I don't think the average Las Vegan has any reason to rejoice. Still, a purely numerical "bottom" is probably within reach. I would be surprised it we didn't see the first monthly revenue and/or visitation losing streak broken by the end of the year.Comments [0]
Riding home on the Monorail a few hours ago, I spotted the Cloud 9 Balloon in the distance.
My camera was already in the bottom of the bag and the the rail was bumping around as usual, but I grabbed the gear, zoomed, fought to manually focus through the window (I only got about 70% focus), and caught the shot just seconds before entering the Convention Center station. The thought doesn't always count, but sometimes it's all you have.Comments [0]
Further proof that the USA isn't always #1, regardless of what Toby Keith says. Now if you will excuse me, I am going to look for someone's ass to put a boot in.
